A blast!

Yesterday i came back to my university flat to see my friends and for the christmas meal/buffet we were having. well it was awesome!

There was a lot of food but i didnt eat much. a few sausage rolls, a few crisps, thats it - wasnt hungry - more sad that i was leaving the people i had known for one and a half years. i know it does not seem long but it feels like i have known them my entire life.

I dont know what it is called when you feel that way.

Well the evening progressed - we had a few games - musical chairs, musical bumbs, musical statues - Who cares if we arent children anymore - we are at heart hehe. after that we did the secret santa - basically we spent £1 on anything and then we wrapped and passed them around until everyone had one. then we opened them... lol. What a laugh - i bought a plastic police set and James got that ..lol was great.

Then we tidied up and everyone kept poping out and whispering... i was getting a bit suspitious and then in comes sally in a suit!!!!! and Natalie is there playing a tune on the little miniture keyboard someone got for Secret santa. Well in Sallys hand was this big RED BOOK! i was like oh no - the lights were off and everyone was looking at me. and then sally goes...

'Rachel! This is your 'CityBlock' life'

i was like ::blushing:: and then everyone is eager to see so well i open it and there is a card and well the book was full of pictures of my year and half here and loads of funny pics of my friends on their and our nights out. it was really emotional. i wanted to cry but i'm one of those people who does not like to cry in public.

Well i'm reading through it when natalie comes back in carrying a CAKE! with SPARKLERS on it! and then everyone is clapping and cheering - and shouting SPEECH SPEECH!!!! i'm like ::still blushing::

'Well, ummm Thanks!"

everyone started laughing and then everyone was quiet and wanting me to read my card and everything.. i was really overwhelmed that i had to read the card and boko like 10 times just to take it in.

after that we all went and got ready for our last night out -  we headed out at 10:15pm!! we took ages.. hehe. and my uni friend Sarah joined us. Lets just say it was a great night and we didnt get in until 3:15am and didnt get to bed till 5am!

Amy started crying while we were out - upset that i was leaving. iw as gutted... towards the end of the night a Take that song came on and i could help it - i got teary and shed a few tears.. my eyes are tearing up thinking about these great friends i am leaving behind.

I know i will keep in touch with them. that is what makes the ache in my heart a bit better.

i had a great night.... really did and i think that can be seen from the amount of pictures i took..lol.
