I've got a day off tomorrow. and i really need it. as usual i'm tired but i've had a great day! i had no rope sessions. no abseiling, catwalk or climbing. its been fab! i did feel lost though without a helmet but i got that sorted when i had Quads (ATV) this afternoon when we had to demo what PPE we had to wear.
The Quad sessions were pretty hard, challanging as we had a spanish group whose english wasnt very good. We got through it though me and catherine - we used alot of hand moments. lol. i felt it was patronising in a way but what else could we do. i only know hello, thank you, yes and no...lol.
In the morning i had Low Ropes. the first session was a nightmare. i had a group of teenagers. and they really didnt want to do it, complaining that they were tired etc. a few of them wanted to do it. so we carried on with me shouting at them here and there when finally 15minutes before end of session i told them to go. as it was getting dangerous. i needed them to pay attention and spot one another but they wouldnt. Oh well my 2nd session was great. i had 5 children who were good as gold. again teenagers. but it makes such a difference when they really want to do it.
This evening one of the aci's came up to see how my day had been. i told her it had been great cause i had had no ropes. she was happy that i was happy because lately i've been really down due to all the rope sessions i was having. and i think they could tell that. becuase i wasn't my happy self. but today i was. and i still am. i need to thank my line manager casue he has done alot for me these last few weeks with changing my sessions and listening to me moan. lol.
Well i'm off. going to relax!
