So here are the last few photos from Vancouver
These next ones are ones from my cruise up the inside Passage and to Alaska. The first one is taken from my balcony on the ship as we were sailing. The second one is of a Cruise Ship in the middle of the water, having dropped anchor as there was no more room at the dock.
The next one is of a Sea Plane – I had to really zoom in that is why it is unclear as it is Digital zoom.
These next two are of Ketchikan, this was our first stop J really nice place.
We went to a Lumbar Jack Show – was really good fun. Again the weather was really warm!
They had to knock each other off of the Log – the audience was spilt up into supporters of America team and Canadian team – guess who won? The Canadians did – good laugh.
Here they are racing up the poles then straight back down – man they just dropped down…
Well I think that be it for today – I’m at home so my Internet connection is not that great.
So yep Came back yesterday and what a hassle that was! We got to the train station me and Amy and the train came, we got on – it was meant to leave at 2:15pm. I looked at my watch and it was 2:20pm I’m like ummm so I get chatting to this women who was sat across from me – anyways 10minutes later man comes over the speakers saying that the train had been Cancelled! We were all like URGH! But then they explained why…… a train had derailed just outside off Lancaster station . so we all got off and then another announcement comes across saying that all Trains were cancelled and that there were replacement coaches to Preston station – so I’m there thinking --- there is another way home (because there is – I could go the long way round) so I go up to the man and ask and he is like ummm no because there has been a landslide – oh right! Great! So I go back to amy and we go across the bridge and go and wait in the mass of people for the coaches to take us to the station – a lot of taxis came but man its expensive so didn’t bother.
A coach came and everyone starting pushing and shoving…Whats the point? I hold back because I’m not pushing. Then another one comes so me and Amy go and see if we could get on – nope but luckily another coach pulls up and we get right near the front and get on! Yes!!! But then when I got to preston well my train had just left 5 minutes ago and they only came every hour – It was soooo cold waiting…brrrr!
So what normally took 1hour and 45minutes to get home took over 4 hours.
But I was not bothered because the delay was something serious.
As it turned out because of the amount of water we had had Thursday and Thursday night into Friday there had been a landslip which caused a train to derail. Luckily no one was injured.
I did not hear anyone moan – only this one girl who started crying – stress head!!!! But yep no one was fussing though they could have formed an orderly queue at Lancaster as when we got to Preston they had a queue and everyone was calm.
Oh yeah hope everyone had a great Bonfire night and saw some awesome fireworks
